With a total of 30 high-profile speakers from 12 countries, the symposium will cover surveillance, diagnostics, vaccines, therapeutics and epidemiology of selected priority viruses, including late breakers on on-going outbreaks and first-hand experience from the field. Complemented by “out-of-the-box” evening lectures, organizers believe they have put together an amazing and scientifically highly stimulating program. In this two-day educational symposium we will foster exchange and collaborations on emerging viral diseases, not only within the academic sector but also beyond, it includes institutions like WHO, MSF, ICRC and others. The symposium will be a unique opportunity for the invited world-class specialists on emerging viral diseases to strengthen the role of our Centre and the research landscape in this timely field in Switzerland.
